Today in class, we watched a video over how to use proper techniques in a interview, how to set up a interview and how to be comfortable in a interview. In a interview the little things matter a lot like where the interviewer and the person being interviewed are sitting, where the cameras are placed, and the type of questions you ask. When asking questions in a interview try and make a connection with the person you are interviewing. When asking a question try and go into depth with the questions you ask and always remember to ask at the end,"is there anything else to add." The more comfortable the person being interviewed is, there is a more likely chance that they will open up and give you more in depth answers. When filming always use the rule of thirds, and make sure the person being interviewed has the proper look, and is looking in the right direction. While interviews can come off as easy to some, there is actually a lot of little things that you need to have a great interview.

Before I started filming the 6 word story, I first created my own personal six word story, which was "Talent is given, Hardwork is achieved". After I created my six word story I had to make a storyboard over how my shots would look, and the type of angles I was going to use. Then we went out to film. The whole filming process took us 2 class periods. After I filmed I went in to edit. The editing only took about 30 minutes. This was by far my favorite project because we go to choose what are story was based off of. For this assignment, Bryce and I went to the library to take a series of shots. We chose to take the shots on the broadcast tech cameras, but you could also use your phone or you iPad for this project. We were told to take 19 different shots and then write blog post, including 6 of the shots below. The 19 shots overall were easy, but were very time consuming, and took most of the class period. In the end this project gave me a lot of new information on different types of shots.
